Marnie Jaffe
Marnie Jaffe (née Greenholz) is an American singer/bassist. She was an early member of New York noise-rock band Live Skull, whom she played with until 1988, when she left the group. (She also appeared with fellow Live Skull member Mark C. on the cassette Tellus #11 All Guitars! curated by Live Skull guitarist Tom Paine; the band collectively had appeared on Tellus #1 and #8.) 〔http://www.ubu.com/sound/tellus.html〕 She later moved to Cincinnati and, in 1996, formed indie-pop group the Fairmount Girls, but departed before the release of their debut album, Eleven Minutes to Anywhere, in 1999. She currently resides in Brooklyn with her daughter and teaches art in the NYC school system.
